During a symposium in Masarat...Dababneh stresses the role of the Independent Election Party in empowering women
Dr. Abeer Dababneh, a member of the Board of Commissioners of the Independent Election Commission, emphasized the role of the Commission in empowering Jordanian women, enhancing their participation in decision-making, and involving them in political and party work to achieve the political vision of the Jordanian state.
This came during her participation in a dialogue session organized by the Masarat Foundation for Development and Empowerment, in collaboration with the King Abdullah II Fund for Development. The session targeted female academics from various universities as part of the project to train academics on the party system within universities.
Dababneh highlighted that the Commission has established a special unit dedicated to empowering women, aimed at integrating them into political life, encouraging their participation in elections and political parties, and enabling them to play a significant role in public life across all fields.
She also reviewed key constitutional amendments and recent developments in the election and party laws, emphasizing their role in empowering women and youth, which, in essence, contributes to the empowerment of the entire Jordanian society.
Dababneh stressed the importance of establishing a special unit within the Independent Election Commission dedicated to empowering women, with the goal of integrating them into political and party work and enabling their participation in elections based on programmatic foundations, ultimately leading to the formation of parliamentary governments.
At the end of the meeting, a broad discussion took place, during which Dababneh answered questions and inquiries from the attendees.
