Modernizing the Administrative System and Developing the Public Sector
A discussion session was held at Al-Zaytoonah University on "Modernizing the Administrative System and Developing the Public Sector," organized by the Jordanian Masarat Foundation in collaboration with the Crown Prince Foundation. The session featured former Minister of Social Development and Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees of the Masarat Foundation, Lawyer Reem Abu Hassan, as well as former Minister of State for Institutional Development and Minister for Public Sector Development, Lawyer Yasra Ghousheh.
The event was attended by former Prime Minister and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Al-Zaytoonah University, Dr. Abdullah Ensour, University President Prof. Dr. Mohammad Al-Majali, Masarat Foundation’s Executive Director Talal Ghoneimat, Middle Region Coordinator for the Crown Prince Foundation Mohammad Al-Suqour, Ahmed Abu Shaikha from the Crown Prince Foundation, university deans, members of the academic staff, and students.
In her detailed presentation, Ghousheh highlighted the importance of public sector modernization and administrative development. She emphasized the significance of this sector by outlining its main pillars and axes and stressed the need for committees to evaluate development initiatives and study their impact, particularly regarding government decisions in this area.
For her part, Abu Hassan discussed the development of the public sector and its connection to empowering women, linking this to the rate of women's employment. She addressed both the positive and negative aspects of the human resources system, particularly provisions related to women.
The session concluded with an open discussion moderated by Prof. Dr. Laith Nasrawin, Dean of the Faculty of Law, focusing on public sector development and administrative modernization.
