Amman Arab University" Participates in the Project to Train Academic Women on the Political Party System

Amman Arab University participated in the activities of the project to train academic women on the political party system in universities. Representing the university in this project, launched by the Masarat Jordanian Foundation for Development and Progress, were Dr. Naseeba Al-Quteish and Dr. Haya Al-Qadri from the College of Pharmacy at Amman Arab University. The initiative, titled "Empowering Women in Political Parties in Universities," is supported by the King Abdullah II Fund for Development. It reaffirms the commitment of the Foundation to enhance women's roles in society and empower them in both academic and political sectors.

The project aims to provide academic women with the necessary skills and knowledge to actively participate in political party work within universities, thereby enhancing their role in political life. In this context, the Masarat Jordanian Foundation for Development and Progress explained that the project is part of ongoing efforts to support and empower Jordanian women in all aspects of life. It highlighted that the Jordanian state, through its various institutions, is striving to activate women's roles in decision-making positions, which requires strengthening their presence in the political party and parliamentary landscape.

This project comes at a time when Jordan is preparing for the upcoming parliamentary elections, with institutions working to ensure effective participation from all segments of society, including women, in the electoral process. The project also aims to motivate academic women to engage in political and party work, enhancing their representation in the upcoming elections and contributing to achieving gender balance in political participation.

At the conclusion of the project, the participants emphasized the importance of such initiatives in achieving positive change. They called for more support and initiatives to strengthen women's roles in political and academic life in Jordan.
