“Enhancing youth participation in parliamentary elections in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan



A discussion session was held to launch the study titled "Enhancing Youth Participation in Parliamentary Elections in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan – A Qualitative Study in the Capital, Amman," with the attendance of the Minister of Political Affairs, His Excellency Engineer Haditha Al-Khraisha. The session featured several speakers, including Senator Asya Yaghi, who addressed the topic of "Enhancing the Participation of Persons with Disabilities in Parliamentary Elections," and Dr. Abeer Dababneh, a member of the Board of Commissioners of the Independent Election Commission, who discussed "Political Awareness and Electoral Culture Among Youth and Women." Additionally, Dr. Ali Al-Khawaldeh, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Political and Parliamentary Affairs, spoke on "Public Policies and Governmental Approaches to Strengthen Youth Participation in Parliamentary Elections," and youth activist Jihad Al-Sayouf highlighted "Challenges and Obstacles Facing Youth Participation in Parliamentary Elections."

The session was attended by a group of politicians, academics, and active youth, with a wide-ranging dialogue taking place between the speakers and attendees about the study, political participation, and parliamentary elections.
