The fifth dialogue session on "Hate Speech and Religious Dialogue" was conducted as part of the "Hate Speech and Interfaith Dialogue" project implemented by the Jordanian Masarat Foundation. The session featured a group of specialized speakers, including Islamic and Christian clergy, as well as faculty members from the Colleges of Arts, Sharia, Islamic Studies, and Law. The project aligns with the Royal vision to reject sectarian, doctrinal, and ideological violence in the region, emphasizing the importance of dialogue based on mutual respect, acceptance, and understanding. This reflects the Jordanian state's belief that nations are built on love, peace, and brotherhood.
The session was presented by Dr. Marsel Isa Jwainat, Assistant Professor in the Department of Journalism and Digital Media at the College of Media. Dr. Mohammed Habis, Assistant Professor and Head of the Radio and Television Department, also spoke during the session. The event was attended by Dr. Batoul Al-Mahaisan, Director of the Princess Basma Center for Jordanian Women's Studies, along with a group of students from the College of Media.
The session included several interventions and contributions from the attendees.
