Ambassador Donika signs agreement with local partners under Canada Local Initiatives Fund

Ambassador Donica Petit today signed contribution agreements with new local partners in Jordan within the framework of the Canadian Fund for Local Initiatives Seven legal references were signed with: Scenario Country Director in Jordan Lara McLover, Executive Director of the Justice Center for Legal Aid (JCLA) Hadeel Abdel Aziz, CEO of the Jordanian Masarat for Development and Progress Talal Ghanmat, Center of Citizenship - Director of the Citizenship Center Abdullah Al-Jabbour, Yarmouk University Professor Ghazi Moqbilah, Jordan Science and Technology University, Acting Dean of Scientific Research Professor Tarek Al-Muqatash, and President of the Jordanian Open Source Association Bassel Erekat. Through training on stage and life skills, a scenario will increase participation and resilience for the benefit of #youth in the Mafraq and Zaatari camp. In the blue The JCLA will establish a community centre to provide access to comprehensive services for victims of #GBV. The Center for Citizenship will increase the participation of women and youth and promote inclusive citizenship in a “Citizen Podcast” digital world. Yarmouk University “She Leads a Network” will increase the participation of academies at the university in leading international research projects and the Jordanian University of Science and Technology will promote the right of persons with disabilities to participate and integrate through awareness and advocacy and the establishment of a digital platform for knowledge exchange in accessible places. JOSA will build the capacity of #Women’s Rights Organizations to respond to gender-based violence and abuse online, and to raise awareness and advocacy for digital safety for women and girls. Last but not least, Jordan’s Masarat for Development and Progress will work to promote gender equality in political life in Jordan through advocacy and capacity building for decision-makers, in government and parliament, on gender-responsive legislation and policies: women’s voices.
