Masarat Jordan Signs Agreement with Ruya Foundation in the Kurdistan Region

In a strategic step aimed at enhancing scientific and research cooperation between Jordan and Iraq, Masarat for Development and Progress (Jordan) signed a joint cooperation agreement with the Ruya Foundation for Documentation, Strategic and Future Studies, at the Ruya Foundation headquarters in Erbil.

The agreement was signed on behalf of Ruya Foundation by Dr. Saad Al-Hamwandi, represented by Dr. Hawzen Omar, and on behalf of Masarat by Mr. Talal Ghunaimat, in the presence of representatives from both institutions and a group of academics and researchers.

The agreement aims to solidify collaboration in the fields of strategic and future studies, promote the exchange of academic and scientific expertise, and organize joint conferences, seminars, and events. It also includes the development of training and research programs that enhance development and support decision-making processes in both countries.

Key provisions of the agreement include the preparation of joint strategic reports and research papers in areas of thought, critique, and future studies; the organization of specialized workshops and seminars to support dialogue between researchers and decision-makers; the exchange of academic visits; training for academics and researchers from universities on political participation mechanisms; and the joint funding of research activities through regulatory annexes to be agreed upon later.

Both parties emphasized the importance of this step in enhancing academic understanding and developing scientific research tools in a way that positively reflects the shared interests of Iraq and Jordan. They also expressed their commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of exchanged information and data during the implementation of the agreement.
